Animas City Trail climbs 1,500 feet in just 3 miles, making it a difficult trail, but great for a serious workout. The trail is well-maintained and leads you up to beautiful views of downtown Durango. Check out views of the Animas Valley and Turtle Lake as well on this scenic loop trail.
From 32nd turn West and go dowm two or three blocks until the road dead ends turn right and follow the road until pavement ends. From there it's pretty obvious where the trail is.
